Unambiguous terms are the be-all and end-all in standards, since they clearly define the subject of the standard. The definition of terms in the individual standards is quite successful. It becomes difficult when a uniform terminology is to be used across all standards.
As part of the Harbsafe project, an application was therefore developed that automatically generates an overview of the different designations for the same objects from the large number of standards and provides suggestions for a uniform terminology.
