AI DATA BRIDGE

Source Connector

Data sources for AI workflows

A modular system for data integration. The Source Connector links external data sources gathers the documents in a structured way and prepares them for AI-based analysis. The plumbing between your data and your AI.

How it works

Three steps,
one pipeline.

Connect

OneDrive, SharePoint, FileShare, Veeva Vault and other sources are configured centrally via the Client Web. Each source type gets its matching connector - generic or specific.

Gather

Crawlers pull documents and metadata on schedules. Results land structured in MongoDB - one collection per source, with metadata or with attached files.

Process

The processing pipeline converts Office documents to PDF, annotates them, extracts text, and semantically splits content into chunks - ready for the language model or AI analysis of your choice.

Why a data bridge?

AI is only as good
as the data behind it.

Language models know a lot - but nothing about your internal data. Anyone who wants to apply AI to their own content must first build the bridge: connect data sources, gather documents, make them machine-readable. In practice, this is often more complex than the AI application itself.

The Source Connector takes that part off your plate. It links OneDrive, SharePoint, FileShare or Veeva Vault via dedicated or generic connectors, gathers documents and metadata on schedules, stores them structured in MongoDB, and runs them through a pipeline of conversion, annotation, text extraction, and semantic chunking. The result: chunks ready for a language model to consume directly.

Particularly in pharma - Veeva Vault, SharePoint structures with their own logic - the connection is often the real work. We have already done it, and packaged it into a modular system that can be extended rather than rebuilt every time.
