From Tokenmaxxing to Surveillance Agent: Meta's Bizarre AI Experiment
Following similar moves by Amazon and Microsoft, Meta is ending the practice of so-called “Tokenmaxxing,” in which employees were evaluated based on their AI and token usage. Instead of these controversial metrics, the focus is now shifting to the autonomous AI agent “Hatch,” which, however, is sparking new controversies among the workforce regarding surveillance, resource consumption, and job insecurity.
