When people in Marburg talk about INOSOFT, they often can't get past the phrase “They do something with computers.” That’s true, but it’s also inaccurate. It’s true because we do, in fact, develop software, validate systems, and operate data centers. It’s inaccurate because it doesn’t really describe what we do.
Marburg knows the pharmaceutical industry. CSL Behring, GSK Vaccines, Siemens Healthineers—the names associated with the Behring legacy have shaped the region for years. What many people don’t know is that behind every safely manufactured drug lies not only chemistry and process engineering, but also software. Software that validates manufacturing processes. Software that manages data in compliance with regulations. Software that ensures every batch remains fully traceable during an audit. This is precisely the field in which INOSOFT operates—serving pharmaceutical clients worldwide.
So we asked ourselves: How do you explain this to people who are wandering between the bratwurst stands and the stage at the city festival?
The answer is an advertisement that looks like a medication package. “PHARMA-IT” is printed on it, as if it were the active ingredient. Consulting, development, and operations are listed as dosage forms. Validation, data integrity, and GxP software are listed as indications. As a side effect, discreetly noted on the side of the box: satisfied pharmaceutical customers worldwide. Below that is a blister pack, just like the one that comes with every prescription drug.
If you look very closely in the program booklet, you’ll find a small line in the fine print beneath the blister pack: “Read the package insert before use. Or visit INOSOFT.de.” A quote from the mandatory disclaimer everyone knows from pharmacy advertisements—repurposed for what we’re all about.
The idea behind it is simple: Our services and solutions play a role in the manufacturing process of the medications you’ll eventually take. In both cases, it comes down to the same things: reliability, purity, and traceability. It’s about substances that deliver what their packaging promises.
When you flip through the program at the city festival or see the illuminated banner on the Schlosspark stage during intermission, you’ll recognize the ad. We hope it makes you smile—and that the next time you talk about “those people with their computers,” you’ll at least add “for the pharmaceutical industry” to the conversation.
